Dear River Oaks Property Owners Association Member:
At the River Oaks Property Owners Association Annual
Meeting on November 23, 2020, the three amendments to the by-laws were all
approved, as follows:

Amendment to Change the Date of the Annual
Meeting: “The annual meeting may be held on any date during the first
three months of the calendar year, but must be held prior to April 1 of each
year. The Board shall determine the
specific date of the annual meeting, taking into consideration the likelihood
of member attendance and the readiness of records and reports necessary for the
annual meeting. Each member shall be
provided with proper notice of the annual meeting as set forth in Section 4.5
of the By-Laws.” (237 in favor; 8 opposed)

Amendment to Increase the Annual Assessment: The Board is proposing an increase of the
annual assessment fee of $12.00 set for 2019 to $48.00 for 2020. (160 in favor; 61 opposed)

Amendment to Require the Use of Email Addresses
for Official Communication from the Board to the Members of the POA: “The
Secretary shall mail notice of annual and special meetings to each member via
the most current email address on the records of the Association. Each member is required to submit his email
address to the Association in order to expedite communication. The member may request postal mail be used,
provided there is no email address available, and the member supplies a current
postal address.” (230 in favor; 13
opposed)
Based on these approvals, the Board is planning to hold the 2021 Annual
Meeting in the first quarter of year.
When the specific date is set, it will be communicated to the members.
Property owners who have not paid their annual assessments
for 2019 ($12.00 per lot) and 2020 ($48.00 per lot) should remit payment to
ROPOA, Box 74, Searcy AR 72145 by the end of the year. PayPal is also available as an option for
payment. Property owners who have
already remitted $12.00 for 2020 assessments should submit the additional
$36.00 as well. Early in 2021 each member will be receiving an assessment for
the new year which will be due in the first quarter of the year, the schedule
the Board hopes to follow going forward.

Board can implement the new policy of official communications via email.
